Partners

Christian Commnuity in Action promotes partnerships in two directions. We partner with other non-profits with similar goals of helping those in need. This may mean financial support from CCA to other service organizations or it may mean the contribution of tangible goods from our Dorcas Thrift Shop. We also partner with groups and organizations that are able to support CCA through financial contributions or volunteers.

Supported Service Organizations

These organizations work with Christian Community In Action:

    The Carying Place
(pronounced "caring place"), based in Cary, teaches homeless families with children necessary life skills for attaining independent living while providing them with short-term housing support services.

    Western Wake Crisis Center
provides assistance to persons in western Wake County who are experiencing emergency situations related to food, shelter and other basic human needs. These goals are similar to those of the our Crisis Ministry and the two organizations coordinate to better serve those in need in their respective areas. Western Wake Crisis Center is located at 103 1/2 E Chatham Street behind the Basket Tree Florist in Apex.

    Cary Non Profit Alliance
was established in March 2007 by Christian Community In Action (CCA), The Carying Place (TCP), and Life Experiences. Their purpose is to formulate a network that encourages partnership and collaboration between local nonprofit human service agencies, The Cary Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Cary.

    Wake County Smart Start
partners with CCA by cross referring clients to the agency best suited to support individual circumstances and resources.

Local Supporting Churches

The original organization and support for the Christian Community In Action came from local churches. Those and other churches continue to be important supporters for CCA, both through financial support and through the time given by the many volunteers who are members of these churches. A specific member in most of these churches serves as a liason between their church and CCA. If you are a member of one of these churches ask your church staff for the name of your church's liason or contact CCA.
